The central theme for this collection of short films is a human one. Taken from this year’s Top 100 short films, this selection explores people – their lives, reflections and relationships. Together they present a diverse and compelling view of ourselves, as we are now and as we will be.

Presented by the Department of Victorian Communities in support of the Positive Images of Ageing program.

				Twenty Five Cents Producer: Natasha Burns Director: Anthony Noack Drama, 6 minutes A woman attempts to tell her story to those she meets through her day, but in this busy world, she finds only deaf ears.
				Amy Goes to Wadjemup Island Producer: Jennifer Gherardi Director: Denise Groves Drama, 8 minutes 7 year old Amy learns a lot about her indigenous Australian culture, the painful memories of her family and a magical way of seeing the world when she visits Wadjemup Island.
				Pop’s Dream Producer: Christopher Saunders Director: Bronwyn Purvis Drama, 9 minutes Rosie may only be six, but her compassion and resourceful imagination are enough to help a lonely old man see beauty around him once more.
				Pension Day Producer: Trevor Holcomb Director: Gordon Napier Drama, 5 minutes The mysterious death of an old man is unfolded before our eyes.
				Adrift Producer: David Curzon Director: Simon Portus Drama, 16 minutes The parallel stories of Albert and Jess, two strangers connected by a tragic event.
				Picture Showman Producer / Director: Janine Boreland Documentary, 7 minutes Projectionist Vic Basham has witnessed the landscape of cinema from pre-television through the digital age, and now at 78 years of age he operates a mobile cinema.
				Cry From the Past Producer / Director: Susan Stamp Animation, 6 minutes A true story portrayed from an old woman's point of view. She remembers the extraordinary partnership between the killer whales, and the whalemen of Twofold Bay, Eden.
				Soul Mates Producer: Naomi Rossdeutscher, Paul Howard Director: Naomi Rossdeutscher Drama, 23 minutes In his darkest moment, Paddy Byrne, a vulnerable man struggling with depression, is inspired by an extraordinary dog and an optimistic boy to radically change his life.
